Welcome to the Computer Science Department Homepage! We're glad you've decided to stop by, and you really should visit in person sometime! Our department is friendly and attentive to students' needs, and there are students, staff, and faculty to get to know. The department encourages collaboration among students and faculty in technology-transfer development and research. You can pursue the study of computer science in a collegial environment, among other like-minded individuals, sharing creativity and insights in a way impossible outside of this environment.
What are the degree options?
Our traditional computer science degree provides extensive preparation in both the theoretical and practical aspects of computer science. It will prepare you for a variety of careers in computing or for additional study at the graduate level. In this program you will study both general purpose programming and programming for specific purposes and environments. In addition, you will learn about algorithms, performance analysis, networks, computer architectures, information systems and software engineering. You will also work on a realistic project in a team environment. The program includes a variety of focus areas that allow you to tailor your degree to your specific interests. A minor in mathematics is possible in this degree with proper choice of electives.
Students enrolled in a program are responsible for completing the required courses that were current as of their advancement date, or can opt for the most recent degree requirements.
